Actress. Artist. Podcast Host. Children’s Book Illustrator.
Hi, my name is Taylor Blackwell! Thank you for visiting my website. I was born September 1st, 1998 in West Palm Beach Florida. Now I’m nineteen years old, and have a passion for all things arts and entertainment. I’ve been acting since I was five years old, and have appeared in dozens of national commercials, films, theater productions, and several network TV programs. I am best known for my role as Lauren Evans on the Starz original series “Magic City” and as Susie in Dolphin Tale 2. I am the star of “Tweet – The Series”, a teen paranormal YouTube web series that is currently in it’s second season. I have also done hundreds of national print campaigns, catalogs, and voice over work. I was nominated for a Young Artist Award for my work on Magic City and Army Wives. Born in West Palm Beach, Florida, I love anything to do with acting, singing, dancing and performing. In my spare time, I also love to play the guitar, ukulele and piano, sew, knit, swim, do arts and crafts, play with my dog, Ozzie, or just spend time with my brothers, Owen and Charlie, and my sister, Drew.
I am the illustrator of Fred Needs A Hat, a children’s book written by my friend/collaborator Marc Zatorsky (See-Worthy Films, Tweet-The Series). With cold weather approaching, a young boy goes on a quest for a winter hat, but is sidetracked by the inventor of a “thingamajig.” Over the last few months, I have been visiting local schools to read the book to students. It has been such a joy seeing the reactions children have to Fred and his many hats. I am currently working on the book’s sequel, “Fred Needs A Coat.” For updates on the book, like us on Facebook. You can buy the book here for $9.99.
I am the host of CelebriTAY, a weekly 20-30 minute podcast where I interview some of the most talented young people in the entertainment industry. Like the podcast on Facebook, and be sure to subscribe/leave a review on iTunes. For recent episodes, click the “CelebriTAY” tab. My guests have walked the Sundance red carpet, and have appeared on Disney, Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Amazon, ABC, NBC, and more. I’ve had the pleasure of interviewing three legends; Burt Reynolds, Drew Carey (The Price Is Right), and Marty Krofft (Sigmund and The Sea Monsters). Listen to my conversations with Ben J Pierce (YouTuber), Elena Kampouris (My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2), Sloane Morgan Siegel (Gortimer Gibbons Life on Normal Street), Ciara Bravo (Red Band Society), Nolan Gould (Modern Family), Nathan Gamble (Dolphin Tale), Brec Bassinger (Bella and The Bulldogs), Harley Quinn Smith (Yoga Hosers) and many more!
I have loved art from an early age, and have a fascination with 60s pop art. I sell my own original artwork prints on Etsy, and at flea markets around Los Angeles. My work is heavily inspired by the works of Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Keith Haring, Jim Shaw, Kerry James Marshall, Basquiat, and others.
